We’re a community that really cares about three things: Jesus, the Bible and each other. St Matt's Youth is divided into SOLID ROCK and COMMON GROUND. Both groups meet on Friday nights, Sundays and for their own camp during the year.
SOLID ROCK is our junior youth group for years 7-9. It’s active and engaging, full of fun, friends, and food.
COMMON GROUND, our senior youth group for Years 10-12, is intelligent without being intellectual, mature without being old.
The evening begins at 6:30pm with games and hang-out time where everyone from years 7 to 12 has the opportunity to chat together or chuck a ball around. The junior and senior groups then split for dinner and the remainder of the night.
The highlight of the evening is a chance to read, study and think about a passage of the Bible together, and then pray.
We wrap up around 8:30pm. $10 per child or $15 per household to cover the cost of dinner would be enormously helpful. Electronic payment greatly preferred.
St Matt’s Youth meet again on Sundays for Bible studies during the St Matthew’s church gatherings. Bible studies are a great way to get to know Jesus and each other better.
SOLID ROCK meets at St Matthew's during our Sunday gatherings at 9am and 11am, and COMMON GROUND at 4:30pm in homes around Shenton Park, where we have some dinner, then head to the 6:30pm gathering at St Matthew’s.
For more information on any of this, feel free to email Elizabeth.
A weekend away in summer for SOLID ROCK and friends, having fun, hanging out, and learning together as we study the Bible, and pray.
Stay tuned for more information.
At the start of each year a group of teenagers from COMMON GROUND and young adults from Unichurch head out for a week long camp. We have Bible studies in the morning, seminars before lunch, and meetings in the evening. Every other minute of the day is filled with fun activities, great food, and making new friends.
